But undoubtedly Vince Clarkes catchy melodies is only one layer of him. The Best Of Yazoo reveals a variety of moods, from a very dark Winter kills to the cheerful Don t go. Even though the synthesizers used on the recordings are truly outdated and almost childish in sound, the compositions as such are full of contemporary music - as good today as it was back then. Vince Clarke and Alison Moyet, who became Invisible for almost 2 decades after her solo single in 1985, are a win/win situation. A must have!!!!!!
